Brian Hatch has been a Teamster since 2007 — and every title he's held since came the Local 25 way: by doing the work. When President Tom Mari took office in 2022, Brian was one of his first appointments as Field Representative, and he's since risen to Business Agent, carrying some of the toughest books in the local.
He cut his teeth representing the Oil Division — nineteen contracts strong, including newly organized units — alongside City of Everett DPW crews, clerical workers, and 911 dispatchers. The lesson from those tables: no concessionary contracts, ever. The days of givebacks are in the past, and solidarity is the strength that keeps it that way.
Today Brian leads the fight in the Construction Division, where Local 25's Community Standard actions have flipped more than 100 job sites since November 2024 — creating Teamster driving jobs and pulling area standards up so hard that nonunion companies have reached out on their own to go signatory. That's what organizing as defense looks like: every flipped site protects every member's paycheck.
He's a certified delegate to the 2026 IBT Convention and a fixture on the Autism Gala committee — and when the Longshoremen hit the bricks in Boston in 2024, Brian was on the line, because Teamsters don't cross picket lines, and representation means showing up.

Leading the Construction Division's Community Standard campaign since November 2024 — flipping over 100 sites and counting, creating Teamster driving jobs in trash, onsite fueling, and support work, with nonunion operators approaching the Teamsters to sign.
Nearly 140 new members organized into the division over two years — now more than 660 Teamsters strong — including transitioning VPNE work to BCEC and bringing those members under the banner.
Represented the Oil Division's full book of contracts plus Everett DPW, clerical, and 911 dispatch units — bargaining on the principle that concessionary contracts are a thing of the past.
Certified delegate to the 2026 IBT Convention in Las Vegas — carrying the local's voice to the International.
Walked the ILA picket line in Boston in solidarity with striking Longshoremen — solidarity in practice, not just on paper.
